Enter the Penguin... Monday the 10th had been an extraordinarily productive day considering it was our first trading day after a long and relaxing new year holiday break. I was tired out by 11pm but the little voices in my head (Yes i hear little voices... doesn't everybody?) told me it was not the ideal time to head for bed. Feeling a little uneasy, I carried on coding, and waited... 2am arrived and my IRC notifier alerted me to the presence of a noticably shaken SilverJade. The alarm bells started ringing immediately as she described her dream. Now I knew where the source of my unease originated from. Using her powerful insight, and my somewhat rusty logic, we brainstormed until the sun started peeking a smiley face out from the horizon. SilverJade was insistant on San Diego being the city first described in her dream. I did not realise the relevance of this city at the time, but it suddenly became a whole lot clearer once the caffeine rush kicked in...   But Why San Diego? I kept asking myself that very question. The media of late have been hinting towards a "Super Tsunami" caused by an volcanic rockslide off the north coast of africa, and the earth still "vibrating" after the devastating scale 9 quake off the coast of indonesia. So 2am logic says... 1 + 1 = Bye Bye Eastern Seaboard "But the San Andreas fault is miles away from San diego!" After many years of getting to know SilverJade, I should have known better than to question her! But wasn't it Einstein who said "Question everything!?". I set about using the 13 and a bit years of analytical training gained in the electrical engineering and software development industries to solve the puzzle...
